So, this morning I'm supposed to be going to do an interview for a local cable TV show. I get up early, and head down to the agreed upon location.
The buss stops , I'm listening to rather loudly and staring out the window, a man walks up to me and is talking but I don't know he's talking to me. He walks away, and the bus driver gets up and so does the other guy on the side of the bus and I take out my headphones.They say the bus is going to be parked for a bit and there's only one more stop, so I might as well walk. I assumed that is what the prior man had said also.
I go...and I wait. Time rolls around, and I text, and call. I wait, for over an hour. Still no call, no show.
I get home after work, and hear that he "canceled" the shoot after coming up to me on the bus and I was a b*tch to him, rolling my eyes and ignoring him.
First off, I've never met him before, and have no clue what he looked like. We were like 4 blocks from where we were supposed to meet and on the BUS....why would I even assume it would be him.
2. I was listening to music and didn't even realize he was talking to me, nor hear it.
3. If I was on the bus, obviously headed down there, and was aware that he was talking to me, and knew he was the person I was meeting who would be interviewing me, why would I be rude and ignore him on purpose.
4. Why would I text saying: "I'm here a bit early", and why would I call and leave a message if I had known I had just met him
No return phone calls, nothing. I only find out it was him on the bus because he immediatley went and complained to someone about it O_o
How unprofessional can you get, to one....approach someone on the bus like that, just make an assumption without taking in all the factors, and then to completely blow off and ignore the person with no explanation whatsoever.
I'm just totally dumb struck by this....it's actually laughable.
And I sincerely hope he doesn't expect me to reschedule after this BS.
Alas....tis my story for the day.

It's so sad how people can be so stupid. No wonder I've lost just about all faith in humanity.
